REPRODUCTION Medieval Coin Richard III gold plated ANGEL & Groat (4 pence) in information cards [R3-2C]
Richard III was born in October 1452. On the death of King Edward IV, the crown passed to Prince Edward V and Richard was appointed Protector. Edward was declared illegitimate and together with his younger brother moved to the tower of London. Richard was pronounced King and the princes were never seen again.
Henry Tudor returned from exile and recruited an army to face Richard III at Bosworth Field. Richard was struck down and Henry became King Henry VII.
Richard III did not receive the noble burial of a king. In 2012 a skeleton was dug up in Leicester and was confirmed as being Richard III.
The reproduction Richard III Angel & Groat are held in a clear plastic blister and is supplied in full colour pamphlet style packaging, complete with images and historical information on the coin and Richard III.
