The history of England is a story that lies in it Monarchs. From Egbert, the first Saxon king recognised as King of all the English, through to the Norman King William I (The Conqueror). From the Plantagenets of Richard I and Richard II,I and the Tudors of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Finally, we come to the Windsors, including Elizabeth II and Charles III.
